Welcome to the Admiral Lord Rodney, Colne.
On the very edge of town, and at the bottom of the steep South Valley, the Rodney is a little cut off from the rest of Colne – which, perhaps, is why it’s developed such a distinct identity, and is a little different from most pubs in the area.
It’s a free house – free from brewery ties – and has a constantly changing range of real ales, including beers from small local breweries.
It has regular live music, and has established itself as one of the premier live music venues in the district. And it has a fortnightly folk club, open to all styles, where anybody is welcome to play.
At the Rodney you can meet people from all walks of life, and from a wide area, attracted by its distinctive, friendly atmosphere (and its excellent ales, and its excellent music) – but its lifeblood is its locals.
This website is here to keep you up to date with what’s happening at the Rodney, with information on forthcoming bands, performers, exhibitions, and special events. It’s also to celebrate some of our good nights, with photographs and occasional audio or video recordings.
So if you have photos you’d like to share on the site, or any comments or questions, send them in to: lordrodney@ymail.com
